Founder & Chief Executive Officer

William Ashmore has over 40 years of executive level mortgage industry leadership.

  • In 1995, Mr. Ashmore co-founded Impac Mortgage Holdings, Inc. (“IMH”), a leading non-bank originator that was among the first to create and securitize alternative documentation residential mortgage products. The firm grew during his leadership to originate over $130B of residential mortgage loans, both non-agency and agency, and developed early expertise in non-QM.
  • IMH was a leader in the non-QM space, having launched (in 2014) the first large-scale dedicated non-QM origination platform, with products sourced across its wholesale, retail and correspondent channels.
  • Key successes included guideline development (from zero, starting as an outgrowth of agency fallout), LOS enhancement, servicer integration, reporting and analytics, pricing and establishing key investor relationships.
  • IMH was instrumental in helping rating agencies refine product and performance criteria and created an industry-standard non-QM bulk sale due diligence process with a leading TPR firm, which is now widely adopted.

COO, EVP Capital Markets

Jim Malloy has over 22 years of capital markets and operations experience in issuer/client platforms as well as structured finance banking.

  • Prior to joining Vista Point Mortgage, Mr. Malloy was SVP at IMH since 2003, where he managed a variety of capital markets, corporate and operational functions. During his tenure, he oversaw execution of all asset sale and financing transactions, including multiple forms of securitizations, both public and private. Prior to joining IMH, Mr. Malloy spent several years in ABS/RMBS/Structured Products banking, at firms including Merrill Lynch, Salomon Smith Barney, and Bank One (with an emphasis on securitization of consumer and commercial assets), as well as at a pre-IPO technology start-up.

VP National Sales

  • Allison Ashmore brings specialized non-QM acumen and a decade of sales experience to her role at Vista Point Mortgage. She is responsible for business development, marketing and running the sales operation. Prior to joining Vista Point Mortgage, Ms. Ashmore was the Director of Correspondent Sales for the Western Region at IMH, where she led the top producing sales team. At IMH, she was part of the initial market release of non-QM in 2014. Through this initiative she developed an adept understanding of the non-QM product and marketplace and its challenges and opportunities. Prior to the mortgage industry, Ms. Ashmore developed her strategic and solution-oriented sales approach in the primary and secondary art markets at Sotheby’s and various galleries.
